October last year I went to Melbourne for a workshop with Anouk Jasperse. I have been a fan of her glass beads for a very long time and was excited to get the opportunity to travel overseas (something I have never done before this trip) and also to see her creating her little masterpieces. Many techniques were taught and the images below are the sample beads I made following her demonstrations. Retro webbing technique as well as creating bollywood pink. Using copper mesh and armadillo technique. Stretching and encasing murrini. Using glitter. Creating large bubbles and angel wing flowers. Creating a fine silver cage. Making murrini and layering. All these flowers were made by students in the workshop. Putting all the techniques together to make my final bead. This bead took 4 months to reach me from Melbourne! You can follow Anouk on Facebook to see where she is teaching and what she has been making.
