Those of you who know me well, know that I am a sucker for post graduate study, and I have been studying on and off my entire nursing career. It used to be relatively easy to fit in all my work, study, family and hobby time because I worked 3 days a week. Now I work 5 days a week, something had to be sacrificed and that was my lampwork beads and jewellery making. I have finished studying for the year and am fortunate enough to have received an award for next year that will cover my salary to do full-time research. So now I can get back to doing the things I have missed like making glass beads and jewellery 😊 This little dish is full of beads for the Beads of Courage Programme. You can read more about the programme here . I purchased these Ray Skene heart presses back in April during New Zealand's level 4 lockdown and haven't had a chance to try them until now. Bead presses allow a lampworker to create consistent shapes. These hearts have a lovely soft puffy shape and wi
